Tadoba National Park

Tadoba’s 2024 tiger population survey, conducted by the Wildlife Institute of India in partnership with the Maharashtra Forest Department, recorded 95 individual adult tigers — the highest number documented in the reserve’s monitoring history, at a density of roughly 7.18 tigers per 100 sq km, among the highest of any tiger reserve in India, part of the broader tiger conservation story unfolding across India’s national parks.

When the park is open
Tadoba’s core zones close for the monsoon from 30 June to 30 September, confirmed annually by the reserve’s Field Director. Buffer zones and gates typically remain open through this period, weather permitting. Current-season status and safari bookings are confirmed through the official Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve portal — we check live availability before finalising any itinerary, so get in touch and we’ll confirm dates for your travel window.

Safari timings
Timings shift with sunrise and sunset across the season, with morning and evening slots adjusting month to month. Exact gate times are confirmed on the day by our guide.
