JungleTrail offers you an incredible wildlife experience at Maasai Mara. Our itinerary is carefully designed keeping in mind the needs of a great wildlife experience. Our highly-experienced team of drivers and naturalists who know the forest like the back of their hand; make sure that our guests have an unforgettable experience in the great savanna forest. The itinerary includes transfers from Nairobi, accommodation with good amenities, sumptuous food & game drives. Our standard packages are for 6 Nights at Maasai Mara. We can also customize the package according to your requirements.

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met and assisted. Immediately proceed by road to Lake Nakuru (approx. 157 kms / 3 hours drive), located in the scenic Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Later enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its rhinos, flamingos, and rich birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

After breakfast, drive to the world-famous Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy your first exciting game drive in this wildlife-rich reserve. Dinner and overnight at Drunken Elephant Mara.

Spend full days exploring the vast plains and rolling hills of Masai Mara with early morning and late afternoon game drives. Expect incredible wildlife sightings including the Big Five and large herds across the savannah. Optional Experience: Early morning hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne bush breakfast (optional at additional cost). All meals and overnight at Drunken Elephant Mara.

After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi (approx. 5–6 hours). Arrive and check in to your hotel. Evening at leisure to relax or explore the city. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Things to Carry:

Telephoto lenses – preferably above 400 mm for distant shots
Wide angle lenses for opportunities of landscape photography
Carry fully charged batteries for your camera.
Carry battery charger. Carry extra pack of camera batteries
Carry backup memory cards / HDD storage drives, laptop
Carry a big cloth / bandanna / scarf to protect you from the dust and a cap or a hat
Body warmer for the chilly early mornings.
Sun screens are very important during the day
It is advisable to carry basic first aid along with you.
Carry a pair of good binoculars
Snacks and food items for full day safaris. Specially for vegetarians.

Dont’s

Wear light coloured clothes, avoid dark and florescent colours.
Plastic carrying bags are banned in kenya and you will be required to surrender them at the
airport when you arrive period its therefore advisable not to carry any since it may leave you
things in a mess if they are confiscated. These include any zip lock bags that are made of plastic.

NOTE: If you wish to extend your stay for an additional night at Masai Mara, extra supplement cost
will be applied. Additionally, an extra vehicle cost will be charged for the extended period.

Cost for Extra Excursion:

Visit to Maasai village – $ 35 per person.
Hot air balloon – $ 450 per person.

Payment terms & Cancellation Policy

Payment Terms: 50% of the tour cost as a booking amount and balance 50% of the cost 60 days
before the trip

In case of Cancellation:

60 days before departure, 50% of above mentioned tour cost will be refunded.
59-31 days before departure, 25% of above mentioned tour cost will be refunded.
30 days or less before departure, no refund.
